  • Artist Statement

    Kath has a Bachelor of Visual Arts from the University of Western Sydney and a Master of Teaching degree from the University of Sydney, Australia. Her arts education experience includes eight years as a Visual Arts teacher in New South Wales and tutoring printmaking at the University of Sydney. Kath works with all age ranges across a variety of community projects, internationally and around Australia, including remote indigenous communities. Kath has also coordinated a Children's Arts Festival, over a 7 year period, which promotes character through creativity. In 1999, Kath exhibited in Sydney's Sculpture by the Sea coastal exhibition and has been invited to participate in 2008, as well as exhibiting in other venues.

    In pursuit of global experiences, Kath completed her Masters internship at Maxwell International Bahá'í School and served at its Eagle Arts Academy in 2003, 2006 & 2007; toured with Wildfire World Theatre on a year of service as stage manager and designer throughout Eastern and Western Europe in 1993-94; and provided arts educational assistance to schools in the Pacific Islands of Western Samoa and Tonga. In 2005-06 Kath worked as the education consultant for the High Resolves Initiative, a global citizenship program.
