one+2 artist studios and gallery is the largest non-profit, fine art studios in the country. Two warehouse studios, located in Balmain and Rozelle - Sydney, provide working studio facilities for over 85 artists of fine art.


These artists practise in the mediums of painting, sculpture, glass, ceramics, installation, mixed media and photography. Many of the one+2 artists are represented by leading galleries throughout Australia and include finalists in the Sulman and Portia Geach Prizes, the Salon des Refuse and Sculpture by the Sea. They include teachers at high profile art schools and colleges and winners of numerous other art prizes and awards.


one+2 artist studios has been operating since 1990 starting with just 7 artists in residence. The attention and dedication of Studio Director, Rogerio Blanc-Ramos, has seen it evolve to two warehouse locations offering working space for more than 85 artists. Joined by Wendy Arnold as Co-Director and full-time artist, the studios have thrived in creativity and momentum. Thereon, the momentum and forward path was set.


Today the studios are a centre for creative talent in the Balmain/Rozelle/Lilyfield areas of Sydney. Studio Director, Rogerio Blanc-Ramos, believes that the unusually large group of artists work well together "because the studio environment encourages artists to think outside their individual boundaries and to learn from each other as the space offers a cross-fertilisation of ideas".


one+2 artist studios provides individual and group exhibitions, workshops and external exchange of exhibits.
